Default How strange...raking the yard in winter

mittens wrote:

Joe, the weather in southern Ontario from late fall to early spring
fluctuates greatly. During the summer the temperature is not nearly as
variable. It is unusual to have a clear day in the winter, but they
are commonplace in the summer.

Two cms of snow fell on the morning of the 11th, but it turned to a
light rain and melted.

Our snow total for the season is over 80 cm, but you wouldn't know it.
The oak leaves which fell in November were covered by snow before I
could rake them. However, due to the unseasonably mild weather and the
snowmelt I have been out raking the lawn today.

The daytime temperature for the past six days has been at least 7C
above normal.

I hope it cools down a bit by Febrauary 7th. I'd like to see some of the
white stuff. We don't get much here on the coast in South Wales...
