I would hardly call 18 rainless days a drought.
You should have been down here in the south east of England last year to
see what a drought is really like. Reservoirs dried up to only 25% of
what they should be, continuous hosepipe ban for 18 months etc.....

I was in pretty much the driest area of all but Essex and Suffolk Water
managed to get through without a hosepipe ban.
