Thought we were on track to get an ice day, but currently 0.4 C at 2050 dew
point -2 C.
At lower elevations to the East and South of Leeds there is just a dusting
of snow.

5cm currently lying on Farsley Celtic footbal pitch!! not measured it here
but in my garden which is next door! This makes today the heaviest fall of
the winter.

How are the roads near you- any drifting? Have Durham County Council been
keeping up with the situation?

Regards
Rob

Hi, Rob,

Good old Farsley Celtic! Can't be doing much worse than Scarborough
Athletic FC atm!!

Temperature rose here yesterday evening to give 09Z - 09Z high of -0.7C
which is the lowest for March since -1.0C on 12/03/1996. Incidentally,
the next day 13/03/1996 was -0.3C max.

Back down to -2C this morning and blowing snow. Anemometer back in
action 22Z yesterday as the wind picked up to 30kn and forced the cups
free after Saturday's freezing snow grains.

Durham CC and the local farmers under contract have done a splendid job
as usual, although we haven't had a lot of snow - yet - and it's spring
snow, so it soon shifts from roads even in an ice day.

Best wishes,
Ken
