..... a sprinkling of what an observer I used to work with at Finningley
called 'sago'; snow grains scattered about - not sure exactly what time
they fell, but before 06Z and after 23Z last night - I suspect that
after the main frontal stuff cleared (by 21Z yesterday/Tuesday) we had
some stratus formation, and they fell from that - nothing showing on the
radar from the trough line this far west, so unlikely to be from
something deeper.
[ Can someone remind me - because I've forgotten ;-( .... if this is the
*only* 'wintry' precipitation in this 24hr, as they seem likely to be
for us, does this count as a 'day of snow'? ]
