[WR] Early morning rain, sleet and snow - north Kent
Could be that the extra half mile is making all the difference, although, it
does seem like a particularly large difference for such a short distance. I
just spoke with my parents who live in Gillingham and they have complete
snow cover ( it's not fair ). I suppose with a sea temp of +8 or +9C we are
always going to be pushing our luck. I was however, pleasantly surprised a
week ago at just how much we got, despite temps not being much lower than at
present ( currently +4.6C ).

Don't know how you managed to record 0.8C, I live just around the corner
in Warden Bay and the minimum I have is 3.0C and currently 3.8C. 3.1C in
Sheerness at present with a dew point at 7:58 of +2.0C. Not cold enough
for snow!
Well, the temperature's now reading 1.5C (grass 1.9C). I suspect it's the
fact I'm an extra half mile away from the sea that's making the
difference.
