Default Line convection over Wales

Quite coherent band that is quasi-stationary. Goodness knows what the
rainfall totals are like in the region. No wonder there's a severe

weather
warning out.

Hi, Richard,

WeatherOnline has Milford Haven 48.0mm and Trawscoed 45.0mm so far.

I would imagine the mountains have much more, but these alone are
mammoth totals for a rain-shadow man such as I am.

Unfortunately, I still have not bought myself a rain gauge but I do live on
the side of a mountain in West Wales and we have had a considerable amount
of water fall on us. Quantity wise, it is more what I would expect in
November/December than summer. There has been flooding (according to my
informants) at lower levels and part of the A40 near Llandeilo was under
water at one time.

It is now dry again.

Regards

Howard Neil
