Default Line convection over Wales

@newsg1.svr.pol.co.uk:

Hi, Richard,

WeatherOnline has Milford Haven 48.0mm and Trawscoed 45.0mm so far.

I would imagine the mountains have much more, but these alone are
mammoth totals for a rain-shadow man such as I am.

From a very wet (for us!) Copley, 7.6mm overnight.

Hello Ken

I would imagine locally there's much higher totals (at a guess - unless of
course MH and Trawscoed are beneath the band). Line convection bands usually
have a width of 1-2km so the intensity of the rainfall probably isn't being
properly resolved by the 5km radar.

Regards from a rainy Wimbledon
Richard
