But if you go straight to the bottom URL they don't. Confusing me that is:-) -- Mike 55.13°N 6.69°W Coleraine posted to uk.sci.weather 17/09/2004 08:07:30 UTC |

The changes come from developments relating to policy re-direction which in themselves haven't been finalised yet. It wasn't too many years ago and we did not have access to *any* radar imagery in this country, subscription or otherwise. "Work in progress" and although I agree it is frustrating, I think we're going to see the benefits before long ;-) For more see:- http://www.metoffice.com/corporate/p...r20040831.html Martin. |

Many thanks for the pointers and comments Martin, as you say, - to be fair to them' :) Very sensible to do it in little bits so that it's all done well rather than in one fell swoop and then have to fix it...! You are of course correct about the radar, and it's not too long ago that we didn't even have the internet to look at the images, let alone being on broadband !! Where's it all gonna end I ask myself... Don't think it is gonna end but you know what I mean.... -- Nick in Northallerton www.whelan.me.uk Also nickw7coc on Yahoo Messenger & on MSN Messenger & www.skype.com ! |

Same here, I tried the "problem" url first, then the other one. Both worked fine in IE 6 and NIS, Win XP. I don't have Service Pack 2 installed however, and Windows Firewall is disabled so it might be related to that if the original poster does have SP2 installed. I like the radar imagery link (and others) being clearly visible on the Met Office homepage these days. Nice. -- Dave |
