You beat me to it Paul. Keep us informed.
Looks like you're in for quite a downpour at least.
Cheers.

Has it arrived yet?

Torrential rain, thunder/lightning. for 30 minutes here. The fairway
on the golf course behind the house is now under water!

It's all over now I think.

I see you had sleet into the bargain Paul.
Well, according to the Pretwick metar...

Not sure about that one.
What I am sure about is the head of the CB which is dominating the south
west quarter of the sky here.
MW radio even more crackly than before. Probably still over an hour from
this location though.
Alex.

shows the thunderstorm - the Boltek detector seems to have it a little
too far north.

It seems to be decaying just as it arrives on my doorstep.
Very black skies overhead, but no rain or thunder at this location. (So far)

Very impressive mammatus all around in the sky here - extremely dark indeed,
so much so it would be difficult to drive on a road unless your headlights
were on. The sun in still 15 minutes from setting!
Radio still popping away. But no thunder or rain here.
Close examination of the radar shows that it's practically stopped marching
north east now. And I'm sitting right on the edge of it with holes
developing on the echo.

Became sufficiently dark at 19:30 for the lighthouse at the tip of the
Ardgarten peninsula to fire up. One very close strike at about 20:30
and, since 20:00, 13.8mm with a maximum rate of 22.4mm/hr at 20:30.
Still raining quite heavily.
