Hello all, firstly may I apologise if this posting is
off-topic for this group. I have an old recording barograph which is just taking up cupboard space now. There is no maker's name or model number and I have no idea how old it is but I've owned it for 45 years and it was old when I got it. It's your standard clockwork drum, paper chart, 7 aneroid pressure units in a stack, brass levers and pen on an arm. It's in a glass and wood case, the glass having bevelled edges. Now, it is complete not perfect. The aneroid elements have become disconnected and there are 3 small pieces of wood missing off the bottom so that it rests on the chart drawer instead of the drawer sliding in and out. The ink-bottle is also missing. Is it of any value to anyone here? I'm in Southampton. Peter Harris |
