Radar Question?

As I watch only a few very large rain drops falling (20:30) I wonder
if this is going to show up as heavy rain or light rain on the radar.
Is it rate that matter or will drop size make a difference?

Radar Question?

The equation says that radar reflectivity is relative to sum of N
times D in power of six, where D is drop diameter and N number of
drops of that size in measurement volume.

Thus, one drop 2mm in diameter gives you as big reflectivity as 64
drops of 1 mm.
