A oh well .... metcheck On Friday, snowfall is expected to be more widespread as winds turn more to the Northeast allowing more moisture to spread in from the North Sea. I hope this includes the south east i would be very supprised if kent doesnt see any snow next week! |

Hi Neil, Me too :-) I think the end of this week will see a couple of interesting situations develop which the models haven't picked up on yet, for example polar lows or troughs. :-) http://129.13.102.67/wz/pics/brack2a.gif You can see how where the system is expected to develop just to the North of Northern Ireland and run quickly Southwards, was *very* surprised to see Nervous Nina mention a risk of sleet! could be substantially more than that I'd expect. I cant see why some showers wont push through east anglia on a keen wind towards this region. But ofcause met office class london as the whole of the south east, note it being such a low risk but if that risk was for kent i reckon 50%+. Especially if the wind takes a north east track as this took the mett office ofguard last jan and dumped over 8cm on the north kent coast. |

No charts for the latter parts of the week, no real rationale for the progression of the weather as the week went on, no mention of next weekend. Not what I expect from the main forecast of the week, at all. - Tom. |

That seems to be the general concensus about that, Tom. Where is Will when
we need him? On holiday, busy or fed up with us?! ;-) Dave "Tom Bennett" wrote in message ... Not what I expect from the main forecast of the week, at all. There was no chart for Friday surprisingly. Sometimes they shy away from showing charts for the end of the week if there is major uncertainty, but in this case aren't we expected to have the northerly right up to the end of the week? As for the weekend, well the CF very rarely mentions it at all. Col -- Bolton, Lancashire. 160m asl. http://www.reddwarfer.btinternet.co.uk |

I've never understood why there isn't an update mid-week, say Wednesday.

No mention of "AT LEAST IT WILL BE MILD" either.
