RMK: Extensive high cloud this morning with variable
amounts of middle cloud. Some sunny intervals. More
extensive middle cloud in afternoon with no sunshine
but it remained dry. There's been lots of precipitation
falling from the middle cloud over the past couple of
hours but all of it seems to have been evaporating
before reaching the ground. 5 cm lying snow with drifts
to 1.5m just outside the village. There's been no fresh
drifting of the lying snow today despite the wind gusting
to 25-30 knots during the afternoon. Max temp -0.8C
and we had 1.4 hours of sunshine.
