I've noticed my VP2 has not updated online since 15:07 also the
WeatherLink App is not updating, which appears to be the case for nearby stations as well. Is anyone else aware of a problem? Keith (Southend) |

Keith (Southend) Yes, there's currently an issue with the AWS (Amazon cloud platform) servers in the US. Reportedly the cause has been identified and a fix is under way. No information on timescale as yet, but hopefully back to normal by the morning. Once AWS is stable again data from your upload devices should start to flow again and backfill the missing historical data, but this may take a few hours to happen with 50,000 odd stations to update. I'm just guessing here, but live data may not pick up again until the historical data has completed the backfill. Please do NOT reboot any local upload devices because you may lose data. The backfill should pick up automatically once the AWS platform is online again. John Dann Prodata Weather Systems www.weatherstations.co.uk |

John Dann Prodata Weather Systems www.weatherstations.co.uk Thank you John for your quick reply, I first noticed it on my PHP upload and wondered if it was to do with my web server, then I noticed it on the normal App. Many thanks as always Keith (Southend) |

Keith (Southend) My vp2 remote readout was also stuck on 1507 GMT until sometime late in night, Keith. It has been OK since 0600. I spent quite a lot of time yesterday restarting my remote computer, and researching possible IP address problems before I saw posts on Wxforum stating where the problem lay. It's the first major outage I have encountered. -- Bernard Burton Weather data and satellite images at: www.woksat.info/wwp.html |
