Default New 30 year averages upward trend...

I'm updating my 30 year averages month by month from the 1981-2010 to the new 1991-2020, and have just done June, so the first 6 months. Every month is between +0.2 to +0.5°C up on the older 30 year average. This trend is relentless: 30 year data starting from 1961-1990...How anyone can doubt is beggars belief!

Using factors that I'll generate from a 9-year overlap I'm in the
process of synthesising 1991-2020 monthly averages for Tideswell based
on the long-term records from Buxton (5.6 miles to the west at the same
elevation). I should have this completed before the end of this year.
I'll progressively work backwards after that - the Buxton data goes
back to 1875 so it'll keep me busy for a while!

Hopefully in 4 1/2 years time when I retire I'll go digging for local data for Southend-on-Sea as having those historical is a real premium. Currently I have local data that I use from April 1960 and my own started November 1977.

No complaints, as it's good to have an interest in these lockdown times.
