Default London area slightly warmer now than this time yesterday

After the rain-failure today, current temps around London are actually slightly higher than this time y'day. 27 to 28C at the warmer sites. Main difference - and possible explanation for the temps - is the absence of the pleasant southerly breeze that developed this time yest - probably a sea breeze.

At least the cirrus has reached us from the west - bit of a surprise there too isn't it? (unless you'd looked at a satellite image earlier).
