0900z: 32003KT 50km 1ST010 (1CU015) 7.6/6.4 QFF 1005.4 rising.

Upper cloud layers soon returned on Wednesday, thin at first but thickening up rapidly early afternoon, with moderate to heavy rain starting around 1400z and continuing on and off until around 0230z - peak rate was 28 mm/hr just before midnight. Precipitation became slight after 0230z, petering out not log after. A bit of a damp one for the trick-or-treaters! Cloud broke after 0500z, with a 4 degree drop in temperature by sunrise. Currently it is fine and sunny with excellent visibility, just a smidge of turbulent stratus, and a Cu top visible to the north-north-east (base height is a complete guess!). Surface wind is light northwesterly.

A generally fine and sunny day, although it was rather cloudy for a time early afternoon. Excellent visibility and convective cloud now dispersing. Maximum temperature so far today is 10.7 (1224z).
