Default [OBS] Ystrad, Rhondda - Mon 24 Sep 2018

0600z: 32002KT 50km 5CI250 3.2/2.2 QFF 1037.4 rising.
SYNOP: 12984 53202 10032 20022 40374 52010 60002 80001 333 20032 85075=
Medium cloud layers broke rapidly Sunday morning to leave only small amounts of convective cloud after 1100z. Some showers visible to the west mid-afternoon, but they were moving north to south so didn't come any closer. Convective cloud dispersed by sunset to leave clear skies, with an influx of cirrus from the northwest late in the night. Excellent visibility throughout. F4 north or northwesterly breeze dropped to near calm at sunset, but occasionally pepped up to F2-3 overnight. Currently there is a fair bit of cirrus with a few embedded contrails, a light northwesterly drift and excellent visibility. There is a touch of frost on the grass. Minimum temperature last night was 3.2 so far, and it is still gently falling.

Fine and sunny. Local convection started around 1030z. Cirrus has broken to small amounts, but what is left over is dense and unstable-looking.

Fine with long sunny periods. Convective cloud still present but very shallow. Some dense and unstable-looking cirrus around still (sorry no photos).. Small amount of thin altocumulus to the south. Excellent visibility and a light northerly drift. Maximum temperature so far today is a pleasant 16.0 (1445z).
