Convective cloud dispersed by early Thursday evening to give a clear and cool night. Friday morning is sunny with a trace of stratus scudding by and a large amount of very thin cirrus above. Very good visibility and a light northwesterly breeze. Minimum temperature overnight was 8.3 (0236z).

Earlier rain only lasted 10 minutes or so. Low cloud broke soon after, and there have been sunny intervals since. Less than half cover of convective cloud, with thin cirrus above. Excellent visibility, and a F4 WSW'ly breeze.

Variable amounts of stratocumulus this afternoon meant that the sunshine has been quite variable. Small amounts of shallow cumulus underneath. The cirrus above has both reduced in extent and has thickened. Difficult to say how much is up there, but it looks like less than half cover. Maximum temperature this afternoon so far is 17.8 (1335z).
