Cloudy and misty/hazy since this time yesterday. Extensive fairly low stratus since late Thursday morning, but it appears to be lifting now - certainly better than the widespread poor conditions on the coast. Visibility on the up too. A largely dry 24 hours, apart from some intermittent slight rain between 0500z and 0600z.

The poor conditions on the coast have now migrated inland. Slight drizzle started around 1045z, and a lowering of cloudbase and visibility. Currently there is rain mixed in with the drizzle and it is looking particularly dreary. Light SSEly breeze has veered SSWly.

The poor conditions didn't hang around for long. Rain and drizzle stopped before 1300z, and the stratus dispersed shortly afterwards. Brighter skies now with a hint of chinks in the cloud. Surface wind has veered further to WSWly but is still light. Highest temperature so far today is 11.1 (1451z).
