I just don't get the lack of care.
Watched 2 BBC forecasts yesterday. Both of which said rain would arrive in Devon & Cornwall this afternoon. All this whilst stood in front of an animation showing heavy rain streaming north across the whole of Cornwall from 05:00 today, which is exactly what happened. It's been throwing it down for hours, approx 12mm since the early hours. Hardly localised either https://www.netweather.tv/live-weather/radar The models were spot on. Funny they don't believe the graphics. On a more serious note I assume they'd decided to ignore the 1st belt of rain due to lack of interest / time issues, and just make do with mentioning the 2nd band, which after all affects more of England. Still complete s**t for people who just listened to the words, like those organising the St Pirans Parade in Penzance, who thought the morning might well be dry. Luckily they realised 1st thing this morning, and it's just been moved indoors. Graham Penzance |

Graham Penzance I listened to Tomaz at the pre 8am R4 news, and couldn't square his forecast for the rain in the SW with what I had seen on the radar. I also got the impression that he was talking about rain for the SW this PM. I wonder if it was his forecast, or was he working from a script provided by a.n.other. -- Bernard Burton Satellite images and weather data for Wokingham at: www.woksat.info/wwp.html --- This email has been checked for viruses by Avast antivirus software. https://www.avast.com/antivirus |

All the forecasters seem to use the same script. Just to make it even worse (at least in west Cornwall) the forecast wet afternoon has been sunny, the rain clearing at the time it was forecast to arrive. http://www.sunrecorder.net/googlemap...serial=1010 1 It's been a lovely afternoon https://magicseaweed.com/Live-Sennen-Webcam/65/ Graham Penzance |
