Not bipolar any more , just Arctic less than 2017, global total deficit
for any 04 August 495,000 sq km. I see an "extinct" volcano in Russia
is waking from slumber to perhaps dirty the albedo ,to add to the Arctic
fires soot fallout.

Deficit for any 05 Aug, 459,000 sq km probably return to increasing
deficit tomorrow.

I never realised lightning at the north pole was so rare , until this week
https://www.nationalgeographic.com/environment/2019/08/lightning-struck-near-north-pole-why-strange/

Robin George Andrews
13 Aug 2019

Lightning happens all the time, but certain parts of the world get far
less of it than others, including near the North Pole. Lightning
requires atmospheric instability, something that's set up when cold,
parched air sits atop warmer, wetter air. At very high latitudes, that
hotter, damper air tends not to show up.

That's why it took scientists by surprise when dozens of lightning
strikes were detected within 300 nautical miles of the North Pole this
past weekend. In fact, it was so unusual that it was highlighted on
Twitter by the National Weather Service's office in Fairbanks,
Alaska. A bulletin of theirs said this was "one of the furthest north
lightning strikes in Alaska forecaster memory."
....

Weird things are happening in the Arctic, and quirky lightning is yet
another peculiarity to add to the growing list.

....
This weekend's storm was unusual due to the high number of lightning
discharges detected in a short span of time. There were 48 individual
discharges within 300 nautical miles of the pole, with more than 1,000
detected within 600 nautical miles of the pole.

Will t5he total go above or under the 2012 run in a couple of days time,
so ending this double-record record breaking run ?

El Nino colour-bin pixel-evaluation , falling away rapidly, will there
be a rapid counter feedback or simply continue rapidly to negative?
