Default [WR] Haytor 18/1/18

First snow of 2018 in Haytor. 1 to 2cm snow/hail covering this morning. Roads
slushy, ungritted but driveable. Now 7 days snow lying this winter so far.

Can't see any snow in Postbridge, and there was n't any to speak of this morning.
I reckon you're dreaming it Will.

Yes it is unusual for Haytor to get more than Postbridge but we had one heck of
a shower just after midnight.
Earlier frames this morning from that webcam showed a sprinkling.
Still a few patches left in the garden.

I've been preparing meself for a bit o' cold this week but it seems not
to have materialised. Just a few showers this morning with a small
smattering of hail thrown in for a few brief seconds, then sunshine all
afternoon and hardly a breath of wind. Nice.

Maximum temperatures:
15th = 12.3C
16th = 8.7C (chilly!)
17th = 9.1C

It's all been rather pleasant, don't know what all the fuss it about.
Snow - bah!
