Tideswell, Derbyshire - Wednesday 27th December 2017

RMK: A bleak morning with a bitter wind. There's 1 cm of lying
snow but the roads are just wet, even the untreated ones.
Yesterday evening slight rain started around 2115z. It turned
to snow after 2300z. It's probably been snowing on and off
for much of the night but the temp has never been lower
than +0.6°.

For once, it's very similar to you in Cranleigh this morning. A cm or so
on the grass, but roads and pavements are clear. It was probably
moderate snow at first light, but it's almost stopped now. This makes
the third time this calendar year that we've had snow lying, though both
the previous occasions were of only a cm or so and it had all gone by
noon.
