A few light snow showers late afternoon and early evening on Monday added another centimetre, otherwise dry overnight. Cloudy at first, but becoming clear by 2100z. Variable breeze during the night caused temperature fluctuations of 6 degrees in a short space of time. The minimum temperature was -6.7, which was quite a bit higher than I originally envisaged. I think this was mainly due to less cold air filtering down from the Irish Sea Monday afternoon. A fine morning, with some quite thick upper cloud, and excellent visibility.
