Chilly, wet, and windy in an assortment of combinations over the
weekend and today.

Forecast to be warmer for the rest of the week but, more importantly, less wet.

School's out again of course - for half term this time.

No peace for the virtuous.

That's because I was having a gibberish moment - the October break was
half-term, as always. The present break (Monday and Tuesday) bears the
joyous title of 'in-service closures' which gives everyone two days off
each year to get their crimbo shopping done. School's still out,
however.

Nice day today, A little sunshine, a light breeze, and a steady 7˚.
Nice for walking - no jacket as there was no rain but a light jumper
just to be toasty.

The recent cool spell has brought the gorse into flower. As pretty much
nothing else is, it is very welcome (and it smells nice). Shame it has
to be yellow.
