Default Prolonged strong Coastal sunshine - Stunning visibility. Dozens ofseals (pics)

These slack unstable conditions often give wonderful weather right on windward coasts, as was the case today. I was at Godrevy from 10:30 - 13:00 and the sunshine was unbroken, whilst there were large slow moving Cb down the spine of the county.

The clarity of the air was just stunning, even the swell picked up.

Dozens of seals today - some pics at Mutton Cove 800 yards or so from Godrevy lighthouse. http://www.turnstone-cottage.co.uk/seals.html They were very active today, going in to play in the waves, and then coming back onto the beach. I got rather a good video. I have counted 100 on that beach during stormy weather.

.. .and much the same today. Lots of CB inland, but right here on the coast the only showers (so far) in the early hours - they moved inland soon after dawn.

Max of 16.1C, with periods of strong sunshine & light winds it felt very pleasant. (Nearer 14C right on the north coast with the onshore breeze)

More in the way of medium level cloud over the last hour (now 16:15)

Excellent visibility again - shows up well on the Lowertown Cam, now the lens is cleaned! http://www.scillyman.co.uk/Lowertown_Cam.html
