Here is an image of Cat5 typhoon Nepartak, the 1st of the season,

This is a bit of a gratuitous plug - but have a look at the link from Joe's of a very impressive animation of that same typhoon:

So your only reason for coming on here is self promotion? Nice.

And the link doesn't work in that it takes me to "Google Groups" and not the
animation. If Joe wishes to share this here then he will.

Is this a visit or is it a cross post?

The idea of sharing with a group that is by design opposed to sharing is repugnant. I hope that Google can allow the rest of us to do something about that one day soon. I suppose telling them to **** off wouldn't work by design.

One can understand road rage and the invention of virus attacks.

I presume you mean the first super-typhoon of the season?
Can they really tell the difference between a cat 4 and a cat 5?

The other groupkapitan kindly allowed us to learn that one of their members found an animation.
Is the any chance of hearing the master's explanation of the formation of the cauliflower clouds and the striations around the core please?
Thank you in advance, should you be so kind.

Around 9am; after the time of writing, I shall attempt to answer the question about striations if a better -more scientific, one (fit for purpose obviously) is not forthcoming. I will refrain from saying how easy the answer was since I found myself seated in my laboratory a moment ago, performing the experiment without even realising that I was doing it.

Shall I also refrain from saying god took my hand?
I was having a **** at the time but you all know me and how incorrigible I am.

I was having a **** just now, when I wondered what would happen if I applied an heat differential to a rotating system. And I saw, literally saw:
The Sound Of Silence:

https://weatherlawyer.wordpress.com/...7/08/nepartak/

But now I must get breakfast and yesterday's charts.
BRB.
