Problems with Weatherlink on a Mac

I have a friend who has Davis Weatherlink 5.1 and cannot get it to run on
his new Apple Mac running Yosemite OS 10.10.3.He is at a loss as it worked
on his previous Mac with the same operating system. Any ideas as to what may
be wrong?
Error is "java.lang UnsatisfiedLinkError" . It displays a weatherlink screen
and then hangs with that message.
He has tried re-installing latest Java and altered security setting to
accept non-apple software but to no avail.
Any help greatly appreciated as I know nothing about Apple Macs.

It is a Java problem rather than an Apple Mac (Unix clone) problem.

and others refer.

OSX 10.10 is Yosemite. Did it work after the .3 update as well as before?

The uk.comp.sys.mac brethren may be able to offer some free assistance
if the problem persists.
