Default Colin's Back Yard?

Perhaps Colin Youngs can tell us where and when this took place.

Very impressive, but it disappeared while I was watching it, said it had been moved.

Still there for me.

Back in 1962, at Met Office Training School, we were told never to use
Beaufort Letter 'u' (ugly, threatening sky) because, as the 'cloud
queen' asked us, 'when have you ever been threatened by the sky?' I
think there's a few people in that video might disagree.

Seafront at Knokke-Heist at the eastern end of the Belgian coast, last Monday 5th August 2013 http://tinyurl.com/lntu5hb

Also on YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VfzB9LUgYII

Photos of the shelf cloud appeared on some Belgian newspaper websites on Tuesday morning, but I hadn't seen the videos before and didn't realise the storm was so dramatic.

Thanks, Jim.

Was it a super cell storm? It looked from the video that it had some
circultation.

Thanks, Colin. I sort of guessed you would know where and when it was.
Pretty dramatic, and I'm glad I wasn't under it.
