Met Office WOW uploading ?

Just been working my way through setting this up, but am I right in saying I can not automatically upload with the WeatherLink software that comes with Davis weather stations ? All I can do is create some csv file to update when I can ?

Automatic WOW uploads are not officially supported by Weatherlink. There are
unofficial ways of doing it automatically, for example by using a utility
that reads for example the download.txt file that WL can be set to create at
regular intervals, process the data and then upload it WOW. You'll need to
dig around on the web for someone else who has created a suitable utility
(I've got my own version but it's not really in a state that would be useful
to anyone else I'm afraid).

Thanks John, and good to hear from you. How do I create the correct file for upload with WeatherLink as this doesn't seem to work either ?

A while since I've looked at this, but from memory isn't it just the
standard monthly WL wlk files that you use for a batch upload to WOW (ie not
CSV or anything else). IIRC WOW can read these files directly. Or are you
talking about something different?

Thanks John,

No, none seem to upload, just say's invalid format. I'll have to do a bit of searching.

Which WL version are you using? It's definitely something recent? You're not
still using 4.x or eg 5.1 or 5.2. (Latest is 6.0.3, but anything later than
5.2 should be OK - the wlk format changed as of v5.2.)

I've you an e-mail which may help. I found setting up WOW with
Weatherlink 5.9.3 a lengthy process. The .htx file is the key to success.

Thanks George, I'm having a problem with the first step, locating the 'wow.htx' file after unzipping, even done a search of the whole drive.

It's gonna be a long night.
