Vantage Vue - Software

Wonder if I may tap into some experience ?

I treated myself to a Vantage Vue last December but I'm not sure that I
like the Davis software. Can anybody suggest a better alternative please
?

Hasn't got to be free but not ridiculously priced.

Thanks in anticipation.

I've been using Cumulus software written by Steve Loft for the past 6
months. Can't fault it. It's free but a donation is always accepted :-)

Cumulus is very good. From Sanday software. It's donationware.

Agreed - here's an example of the very basic you could expect:

As others have mentioned, Cumulus and Weather Display are the two most
widely used alternatives. Most people seem to find Cumulus easier to use and
to configure. But there are at least half a dozen (and more) other
compatible programs. I think you probably need to say what it is about
Weatherlink that you find limiting - that would make it easier to suggest
the best option.

(But the reality is that there isn't a 'perfect' Davis-compatible program -
all of the available software packages have pros and cons.)

Big Cumulus fan here. Does just about everything and you can put in
calibration factors as well. Brilliant for collating monthly reports,
graphs of different periods etc and easy to get web sites up and
running. Has a massive worldwide user base so forum answers pretty much
everything you could want.

I must go to very close to where you live Dave, I often pass those places on your picture gallery when seeing my many customers in the Langdon Hill's.

Cumulus is excellent - I've been running it full time since November last year - only freeze ups I've had have been caused by 3am MS Windows updates. Although its free Steve Loft, the software author, always seems to be quick to help with anything that cannot be solved by looking at the extensive forum. And there are some very selfless people on this newsgroup that are very well versed in Cumulus should you have any problems

Do any of these work with Vantage Pro? I have a few issues.
