Never seen one before! First one's easy Les. Are you sure that camera was looking east and not north east? Quite clearly it's a map of Norway. Don't know really. Not distrails though - unless there was a huge great formation of aircraft flying through that cloud. I would have thought it was simply some vertical oscillation (wave effect) of the airflow. However, the archive synoptic chart shows no isobars, so little wind (at low level - probably similar at height). So don't have an explanation. Jack |
