Some milder westerly incursion in S Wales
Temperatures have been swinging quite wildly today - some short lived
showers of rain and then hail, and no looking at the IR animation it appears we are on the southern flank of the flabby low pressure, but enough to bring wind in off the Bristol Channel - have to see what tomorrow brings. Cheers James http://www.meteosat.co.uk/Porthcawl/trends.htm |

NAE brings in rain for me at 310 metres tonight with a temperature of +3C. I don't believe it one bit, saw similar in Feb 2009 and that system dumped 9 inches of snow. http://www.lyneside.demon.co.uk/Hayt...antage_Pro.htm Will Hand (Haytor, Devon, 1017 feet asl) --------------------------------------------- |

Needs a change of wind direction, though looking at the UK temperature maps the milder air is spreading. Cheers James |

Milder than this time last night though when it was -3.7C. Will -- |

Lovely crunchy walk back from the pub a few minutes ago..... Tom. Blackmore, SW Essex. 70m amsl. |

Gone from 3.3 to 1.4 in 30 mins and still falling. After the moderate rain of this afternoon's showers roads are going to be lethal if the cooling continues. James |

Then what I assume was the current freezing fog formed and we got an abrupt rise of 3.5C. It's yo-yo'd around a bit since then, although it's still -3.8C - Tom Blackmore, SW Essex |
