Bye bye horrible tropical air!
This is the last day of gloom here in Haytor. Rain is on the way, it is
already foggy higher up but by tomorrow afternoon we will be back in clean polar air with sunshine and excellent visibility. I'll be able to see the sea again! :-) 0940 8th T+8.7C RH 100% Slight drizzle (as always) Will -- http://www.lyneside.demon.co.uk/Hayt...antage_Pro.htm Will Hand (Haytor, Devon, 1017 feet asl) --------------------------------------------- |

Light winds, maxima between and 10 and 12.5c, refreshingly cool nighttime minima (between 4 and 6c). No rain. Even in the fog on Sunday the temperature was up to 8.7c. Springlike sunshine on Friday and Saturday. Very unusual to have the mildness without at least a strong southwesterly and a bit of rain. Pau |

Same here in Central London. It has admittedly been horrible and gloomy for days but today the TM murk has parted to give hazy sunshine, light winds and temps already at 12.5 deg (12.47). If the sun lasts another hour I think we could see 14 deg. This sort of weather (winter TM with sun) is very rare here and very pleasant.
ps just saw a fat bumblebee enjoying the mildness and sun |
Bye bye horrible tropical air!

Pau It's been surprignly bright on the tip of Cornwall, with the cloud breaking at sea level most days. The 5th was a lovely sunny day. A few early spring pics @ http://www.turnstone-cottage.co.uk/EarlySpring.html The 1st real mist & steady drizzle today, still 1mm so far (16:00) I think it's been my mildest 1st week in January on record, I must check Graham Penzance |
