[OBS] Romsey - Wednesday 28th March 2012
**New March max temp record set today in Romsey**
This is the first time since before 1974 that the 20C mark has been breached in March, scoring a warm +20.7C. The mean max temp over the past 7 days (22-28 March) is a staggering +19.2C which surpasses our average June max by 0.1C! The nights are cool, though, with mins around +3.5C. Assuming no sun-blocking cloud in the next hour, then today will become the 6th day in a row with unbroken sunshine, the longest stretch in any month since 16-21 March 2009 (also 6 days) and 8-13 February 2008 (another 6 days). July 1990 was the last occurrence of more than 6 consecutive sunny days.
