That's a "Craig" mark. I'll be "Bruno" and give it "TEN"!

"Frozen Planet" is the best science documentary the BBC have done in
years. The camera work is exquisite and nothing is rushed - time has
been allowed to savour the wonders on show. David Attenborough narrates
it as though he were young again. And it is not until you see the
"Freeze Frame" sections that you realise how much the camera crews have
endured and - at times - have laid their lives on the line to bring this
to us.

The BBC have often been knocked on this group, but they deserve all the
credit going for this series. It will be an injustice if they do not
win some awards for it.

I just love to see Lawrence's face if it is a Nobel Peace Prize :-)

Cheers, Alastair.

It's certainly the best that I've seen in years. And with all the
belt-tightening going on at the BBC, I wonder if they'll ever be able to
afford to make anything like it again.

The camera work is exquisite and nothing is rushed - time has
been allowed to savour the wonders on show. David
Attenborough narrates it as though he were young again.

Though he did sound alarmingly out of breath in some of his pieces to
camera last night. I wondered about the wisdom of subjecting a man in
his eighties to such extreme cold. But then I don't suppose that anyone
could have dissuaded him.

And it is not until you see the "Freeze Frame" sections that you

Yes, indeed. There were one or two sequences where, if I had been the
person at the BBC with ultimate responsibility, I think I might have
said: "You're not doing that. It's too dangerous."

I'd be astonished if the series didn't win every award going for British
TV documentaries.

He didn't sing it, he said it. It was awful. Sentimental
childish schmaltz entirely at odds with the general tenor of the
programmes(s). I'm surprised he let himself in for it. I'd like to
think it didn't happen because everything else about the series was
brilliant.
