Default Wet in parts of Scotland - Tulloch Bridge 35 mm

Interesting.

We had a glorious, mainly sunny, day in Moray yesterday, with
strong mountain lee wave taking gliders up to 17,000 feet. It
did look very grey to the west, and while flying we noticed that
it was raining over Inverness way. A friend reported that she
had been to Glen Affric, where it was overcast and drizzling.
There were some spots of rain around dusk, but it cleared again
fairly soon.

I notice that Tain, Kinloss and Lossiemouth all feature in the
list of max temperatures.

Classic case of east/west divide and/or Moray Firth
microclimate.

Anne
