Solar eclipse from space
I have put a short video file from 2006 showing the moon's shadow crossing
the earth's disc during the solar eclipse of 29 March 2006. The umbra and penumbra show up very well. It is an .avi file, and works well in Windows Media Player on my PC, but may also work OK on other player platforms. http://www.woksat.info/wwp/2006-03-29-SolarEclipse.avi The images are (c) Eumetsat, and are from Meteosat8, processed using David Taylor's software http://www.satsignal.eu/ -- Bernard Burton Wokingham Berkshire. Weather data and satellite images at: http://www.woksat.info/wwp.html |
