Best wait for the Ensembles in my experience. Dave ---------------- As I suspected, unfortunately it was a considerably cold outlier. Dave As was the very cold 00Z GFS operational run. Interesting that both the GFS and ECMWF 00Z runs were keen to have the high to our west generate a ridge to its north or northeast, whilst that feature doesn't appear on the 00Z UKMO (at least not out to T+144). The 06Z GFS operational run is much less extreme and closer to the 00Z ECMWF. -- John Hall "I look upon it, that he who does not mind his belly, will hardly mind anything else."
