Default Today's model interpretation (17/08/10)

Here is a summary of the latest NWP output for noon (GMT) on Saturday.
Issued 0431z, 17/08/10.

Sunday will start on a warm and sunny note for much of England and
possibly eastern Scotland. However, cloud will build from the west and
rain is likely in many areas by the evening. Into the following week
cooler weather looks likely, with further rain at times for all.

A deep low lies to the north, with WSW'lies over the UK. The winds
become SW@lies on day 6 as a trough approaches from the west, followed
by a col on day 7 as low pressure deepens to the SW.

The Met Office run shows a col over the UK with light winds for all.
Winds become light SW'lies for most on day 6 as a shallow low moves
over Northern Ireland.

A weak ridge brings warm and humid conditions to England and Wales,
with WSW'lies across the UK. On day 6 a secondary low moves along the
English Channel, with SE'lies over the UK. By day 7 a deep low lies to
the NE and SW'lies cover much of the UK as a result.

Scotland lies under a low, with SW'lies over the remainder of the UK.

The Japanese run shows a mdoerate SW'ly flow for the UK, with a low to
the north.
