Snow remains in South Wales
Up around the heads of the valleys region again yesterday and was
slightly surprised to see how much snow was still remaining. Only on the mountains above about 1400' but large swathes and cornices. Don't think it is 'waiting for more' any more! Cheers James -- James Brown |

Thanks James. Will -- Is there still snow on Dartmoor? Looking at the animated Satellite images from West Cheshire College, there appears to be a white patch over Dartmoor that isn't moving? Doesn't look like there is any cloud over Dartmoor from where I am in Teignmouth. Hay Tor, Ripon Tor and Hameldown glaciers have melted. The tussock grass looks white in the sun as it is the old stalks which have dried. It may be that showing on the imagery, seems about the right area? Will -- |

Don't think it is 'waiting for more' any more! I drove along the north coast yesterday to Anglesey and there was a lot of lying snow on the mountains. There were vary large patches well below the 1000ft level on north facing slopes. -- Mike Tullett - Coleraine 55.13°N 6.69°W posted 3/5/2010 3:26:03 PM GMT |
