A few 'isolated rogue showers' forecast for Devon & Cornwall at
luchtime. The criminals are out in force. It's been raining around 75% of the time over the last 6 hours (11:00-17:00 BST) giving a total of 9.8mm in the period (it's still raining at 17:15 ). Mostly heavy bursts of drizzle & fine rain, but the occasional very heavy burst of much larger drops. Also just the odd bright interval for 10 minutes or so. Not really one of Jon's danglers, the drizzly showers over the sea seem to intensify rapidly as they hit the north coast of west Cornwall. Around 4mm fell between 15:30 & 16:00, something that is not apparent from the radar because of the fine nature of the rain. A thoroughly wet afternoon. Still - tomorrow looks good. Graham Penzance |
