I bet the rainfall total from time of start to end of downpour/s would
have shown much more for Capel Curig, had the artificial stop clock
not been used, or perhaps if it had been set to another time.

I wonder how exceptional the rain in Rhyl was. Quite often you can see
three or more mushrooms of storm clouds passing by along Abergele
Roads; one after the other, sometimes in close clusters.

Having said that Rhyl is quite a dry micro-climate. BTW the Rhyl
weather-station is or was in Prestatyn -just on the eastern edge of
the triangle the flood plain makes (the bit that runs along Abergele
Roads.)
