[WR] Return of the Westerlies
I seem to remember it was H H Lamb that described the return of the
westerlies after a long spell of anticyclonic weather during the latter part of spring and early summer. It appears to have happened a little bit early this time. Nice to feel a bit of humidity back in the air, and all that dusty, dry air has been pushed away. Lovely day (so far) here in Devon with a warm breeze and sunny intervals. Now all we need is a drop of rain..... Currently at 12:35, 19.0C, RH 54%, DP 9.3C, 1017.4 mb (F), Wind 13 mph W. ________________ Nick G Otter Valley, Devon 83 m amsl http://www.ottervalley.co.uk |
