At sixth form level (albeit at A2/ first year undergraduate level) pretty well all the documentation and texts push the anthropogenic evidence for GW, but IMHO this is not a balanced academic nor scientific stance. So my 6 Geography oxbridge candidates are watching this tonight before our tutorial on Friday, so I hope it is good. I will ask them to write a review of the evidence presented - I hope it is a balanced view, unlike that Guardian/Observer article from last weekend. We need sensible debate on this - future generations may look back at the early 21st century, and laugh at our naivity sadly. Just finished watching the programme, one word Brilliant.
This programme was ground breaking, and a voice that goes against man- made global warming, with some hard evidence to back it up. I found the bit about C02, and sea temperatures lagging actual warming very plausible, and made perfect sense that all of this planet's warming is down to our Sun's solar activity. Everyone knows that water takes longer to warm up, and longer to cool down than land. So the fact that sea temperatures are rising is because the atmosphere has already warmed up, and the reason for there being more CO2 in the atmosphere is because the warmer seas are transfering for CO2 to the atmosphere. |

Perhaps, but it takes a special kind of naivety (or worse) to think that we can go on pumping millions of tons of crap into our atmosphere without any detrimental effects. |
