Its not in a box but its under a little cut out corner of my shed (cut out so that the wheely bin can get through) where its very sheltered. By 7.45 it was steady at just below -8C. It's in a wide plastic casing, so the thermometer bulb was not in contact any cold surfaces. Rob |
