[WR]Phew in Copley!
Hi, Everyone,
Screen min 17.2C last night, now second warmest after record high of 17.5C in August2004. My Low Etherley highest was 17.4C in 30 years. It's getting warmer all the time, less snow in winter, more sun. Holiday cottages all booked up. Love it! Ken Copley 253metres asl, nr Barnard Castle, Teesdale, County Durham http://copley.mysite.orange.co.uk I am working my way through a neglected garden border, 6 feet at a time and today was remarkable in that I was out there at 8 am and had to give in at 10 with the job almost finished. I did get spurred on by the onset of Countryfile to finish it off after a beer but bloody hell I was sweating. I have to wear a long sleeved shirt, buttoned up, as the gnats come out to get me otherwise. My glsses were running with sweat or froth. I wonder what the next phase will bring on the 9th. Let me suggest rain in the south east of England and for the rest of us south of Scotland's cyclonic catchment, anticyclonic stuff. |
