Forgetting soccer because that's a load of old balls anyway, it's just as
silly 7 or so days out to state that a particular location in the UK will somehow escape some below average temps etc than to predict that it definitely will freeze. On the other hand, looking at much of the output of late, it is highly likely that IF the UK does cop an easterly incursion beginning the back end of next week, the Midlands northwards to Scotland would in fact be most likely to be the focus of 'Arctic Britain' style reportage.
