Default Thoretical maximum/minimum temperature

Sorry Yannis, can't answer your question. But I'd love to know the answer
also. Surely someone knows a means of calculating this? Or do you simply
use a method of reasoned estimation (educated guess) from existing data?

Hallo all.

I would like to ask if anyone knows how the maximum and minimum thoretical
temperatures of a site are calculated/estimated, as I recently read these
potential values for the whole of the country in Flokas A. "Meteorology

and
climatology lessons" (2nd ed, Thessaloniki 1997). The book only provides
with data and doesn't offer the methodology followed.

Hi, Alex, Yannis

I forwarded the question to a Dutch meteorologist; - as i also am rather
curious - and he always replies to my
questioning ;-)). I reckon this one to be hard to answer however.
But I'm not certain when the answer will be there; for tomorrow I'm off to
one of the most wonderful cities in Europe; not even as terrible hot and
humid as Amsterdam is currently: -), so maybe you'll have to wait a week
before getting this question answered.
IF there's an answer of course ;-))

Wijke
The Netherlands (for the time being)
